...who?
I'm Adrian, a PhD student with the CHART research group at the University of Nottingham.
I'm interested in all things robotic, specifically anything that brings robots closer to people! This includes robotic systems design, real-time data fusion, and most importantly, robot/machine learning. Right now my research focuses on multimodal applications of Learning from Demonstration (LfD), using methods to allow robots to learn from humans, making working alongside robots more intuitive and easy for people. I'm focusing this research into the application of Self Driving Laboratories (SDLs), to accelerate the speed of lab-based research (Like materials & chemistry).
Beyond my research interests, I'm an active member of HackSoc and a organizer for this years upcoming HackNotts! I also oversee the Nottingham RoboNotts Robotics Team after having led it for 2 years. Speaking of hackathons, I love bashing hardware together all over the UK, and winning a few prizes for it! (Check out the Hackathons tab to look at my projects!) Leaving computer science alone now, my other hobbies include cooking from all kinds of cuisines, playing big heavy board games, and of course the occasional 400 hour factorio save...
